ecologie was inspired by the desire to provide the Limestone Coast region with new, sustainable food choices which are simultaneously friendly to the body, the local economy and the earth. Our aim is to provide an important service which is currently unavailable in the area - access to seasonally available, locally sourced where possible, organic produce and products delivered directly.

Our emphasis is on encouraging regional sustainability in terms of the food chain, as we are blessed in this area with a natural abundance of copious rainfall and fertile soil, thus providing us with a far greater ability to create our own food sources than we are currently utilizing. By making the choice to eat only freshly harvested foods in season, we are getting the highest amount of nutrition from living foods, rather than those kept in cold storage for months, losing valuable nutrients and life energies, and possibly irradiated or flooded with ripening gas. Constantly bringing in our food supply from interstate and overseas contributes greatly to global warming via the excessive usage of fossil fuels. Also, conventional mono-cultural farming practices, along with chemical usage, tend to deplete the soils over the long term, whereas organic diversified growing can actually enhance and revitalize depleted soils, ensuring their vitality and fertility for future generations.
