Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) are vehicles which combine a gasoline engine with an electric motor and battery. Thus allowing for both electric and gasoline-powered driving and can be plugged in to recharge.
Some designs permit the gasoline engine to be used to charge the battery, or the act of braking to charge the battery (regenerative braking).
